Our Mission
Our Mission is to professionally perform the statutory duties required of the Monroe County Auditor with kindness, respect, accuracy and integrity.  We will ever strive to provide a “Best Practices” approach in all services and to always provide expedient public information.  We will efficiently utilize our taxpayer provided physical and human resources. We will operate a streamlined staff that is well-trained and team-oriented and that will continually seek to provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Brianne Gregory, Monroe County Auditor

The Auditor is the Chief Financial Officer for the County. A constitutional officer of the County, elected for a four-year term from the county-at-large with prohibition against serving more than two consecutive terms.

SECRETARIAL

-Secretary to the County Commissioners and County Council

TAXATION

-Manages filing and application of property deductions to property tax, including tax abatements

-Maintains property ownership records

-Handles all real property transfers of ownership

-Tax Sale – Publication, Records of Sale, and Tax Title Deeds

-Preserves plat maps and parcel lines on the county GIS system
