Brianne Gregory, Monroe County Auditor The Auditor is the Chief Financial Officer for the County. A constitutional officer of the County, elected for a four-year term from the county-at-large with prohibition against serving more than two consecutive terms. |
Duties of the Auditor:
FINANCIAL -Budget Preparation for County Council -Preparation of County Annual Financial Reporting -Additional Appropriations -Transfers of Funds -Payroll for all County employees -Employee Benefits -Accounts Payable and Receivable SECRETARIAL -Secretary to the County Commissioners and County Council |
TAXATION -Manages filing and application of property deductions to property tax, including tax abatements -Maintains property ownership records -Handles all real property transfers of ownership -Tax Sale – Publication, Records of Sale, and Tax Title Deeds -Preserves plat maps and parcel lines on the county GIS system
