1993 Expansion of Electronic Surveillance/Home Detention Program – Monroe County Community Corrections Program received State Community Corrections Achievement Award.
1994 Juvenile Diversion Program, Probation Department/Juvenile Division - Received the Governor's Exemplary Project Award.
2000 Juvenile Alternative Management Services (JAMS) Program – Received the Judge Warren W. Martin Award by the Indiana Correctional Association “awarded to a court with the most innovative program for the care of juveniles.”
2000 Community Corrections Director of the Year – Awarded to Tom Rhodes, Community Corrections Director, from the Indiana Association of Community Corrections Act Counties (IACCAC).
2000 Community Corrections Supervisor of the Year – Awarded to Jeff Hartman, Community Alternative Supervision Program (CASP) Supervisor, from IACCAC.
2001 Project Break Away – Awarded to the Monroe Circuit Court Probation Department and City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department a certificate of recognition as a “promising program” by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention formally recognizing Project Break Away as a one of the nation’s “prevention programs which have shown promise in reducing substance abuse among the Nation’s youth.”
2004 Community Corrections Advisory Board Member of the Year – Awarded to Honorable Viola J. Taliaferro, from IACCAC.
2004 Order of Augustus Award – Presented to Linda Brady, Chief Probation Officer, by the Probation Officers Advisory Board of the Judicial Conference of Indiana to those persons in the profession of probation whose commitment and personal dedication have exemplified the ideals and philosophy of John Augustus, the undisputed “Father of Probation.”

2007 Sharon Stephens Brehm Outstanding Leadership Award – Presented to Susan Allen, Court Alcohol and Drug Program Director, by the Indiana University Campus-Community Commission on Alcohol.
2007 Top 20 Exemplary Program – Awarded to the Indiana Family Project, a collaborative effort between the Center for Adolescent and Family Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, Monroe Circuit Court Probation Department, and Monroe County Community Corrections, from the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice for diverting youth in the juvenile justice system.
2008 Community Corrections Case Manager of the Year – Awarded to Debbie Murphy, from IACCAC.
2008 Community Corrections Support Staff Member of the Year – Awarded to Marilyn Brock, from IACCAC.
2008 Juvenile Services Case Manager of the Year – Awarded to Debra Wray for Alternative Management Services (JAMS), by IACCAC.
2009 Leading Light Award for Truancy Court Program – Awarded to the Monroe Circuit Court and Juvenile Probation Division by the Chamber Of Commerce’s Franklin Initiative “for programs that demonstrate outstanding service and dedication with innovative or exemplary programs that enhance our education community.”
2009 Community Transformation Award – Awarded to the Monroe County Drug Court program by the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) “in recognition of its tireless efforts to foster community transformation through reducing drug addiction and crime, restoring hope, and reuniting families.”
2011 Monroe County Community Corrections Program – Designated as a “model Level I Program” by the Indiana Department of Corrections.
2011 Stepping Up Award – Presented to Mandy Capps, juvenile probation officer, by Stepping Stones for making a positive difference in the lives of youth.
2011 Haines Turner Award – Presented to juvenile probation officers Viki Thevenow and Mandy Capps, from the Community Justice and Mediation Center (CJAM) in recognition of their exceptional commitment to serving youth through restorative justice.
2012 Community Corrections Supervisor of the Year – Awarded to Steve Malone, Drug Treatment Court Program Director, from IACCAC.
2013 Probation Officers Professional Association of Indiana (POPAI) Founder’s Award – Presented to Linda Brady, Chief Probation Officer, to recognize “individuals who have significantly contributed to the field of probation in general, and specifically to the POPAI organization. The selected person shall be characterized by his/her commitment of influence and promotion of professionalism to Indiana probation.”
2014 Indiana Department of Correction (DOC) Performance Bonus – Awarded to Monroe County Community Corrections for “high achievements in diverting non-violent D felons and use of evidence-based practices.”
2014 National Probation Officer of the Year – Awarded to Linda Brady, Chief Probation Officer, by the National Association of Probation Executives.
2014 Innovative Program of the Year – Awarded to the Monroe County Drug Treatment Court by IACCAC.

Tom Rhodes was honored at the 2019 IACCAC awards ceremony with the first ever Founder’s Award for his lifetime achievements and contributions to Community Corrections.
Tom was on the IACCAC executive board for over 20 years and frequent conference speaker.
Tom & Peggy Welch – first two Monroe County Community Corrections directors worked on legislation after Peggy was elected to the State House.
